It’s summer time, the weather is (generally) better, and we’re all in the mood for a party, particularly when it’s for a great cause. Our favourite charity, Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK, to whom a percentage of our profits go, is holding a fundraiser ball this summer, to raise the much-needed funds to help the charity to continue to send children with life-threatening diseases and their families on wonderful trips and experiences that they will remember for a long time. It is estimated that to continue their extraordinary work, they require around £5 million, so every ticket sold to this ball will help. The event will include a sit-down three course meal, with a champagne reception preceeding, as well as a disco at which guests can boogie on down until late. We’re thinking that it’s likely there will be Chinese lanterns involved in the event somehow, as the thought and ethos connected with them is so relevant to the charity; without the desire to make the lives of so many children just that little bit better, they would not exist. With the Chinese lanterns at the ball, each guest will have the opportunity to hope or wish for children all around the world who would benefit from such great work.
